Brilliant. Bravo. Thank you so much for this. As a single white college educated mother of two young boys under 6, formerly deeply liberal, I broke ranks (made much simpler by RFK jr) and voted Trump. I've been fascinated by the hypocrisy of so many screaming about Trump while literally doing exactly what they are accusing him, and us, and me - of.

A close friend posted this a few days back, and I'll just say that I'm thankful for your articulate capacity to address this strange and hateful and judgemental stream of rhetoric.

"this strange and hateful and judgemental stream of rhetoric." It really defies belief, he hit every attack ever made on the people who wish to restore America, instead of America being turned into the dystopian globo homo NWO hellscape that was intended to happen.

Man, it’s great to read your writing! 🤩

Excellent rebuttal, shame that we’ve drifted so far apart that it needs to be written.

Love the ‘blue gaslight’. It really does seem to put off ‘climate changing’ levels of smug

Thanks for taking the time to answer this smug dude's sermon! (And thanks for linking to me too!) I'm so tired of the self-righteousness coupled with a complete lack of self-reflection coming from the left. And I noted he took the liberty of speaking for the 'non-straight' a couple of times, and then spoke for the 'LGBTQ+"--which reveals to me that he sees 'LGBTQ+' as = to 'non-straight'. He has no clue what these letters (and +) mean, and thinks of them all as one type of person. He himself won't say the word 'gay' but would probably make a five minute video crying about the injustice of a 'Don't Say Gay Bill'. He is the type of person who is actually erasing gay people, by force-teaming us with the TQ+.

PS: I don't think he (and people like him) are heartbroken at all. I think they're secretly happy to be able to put themselves on a pedestal for the next four years. This way, they can continue to preach how wise and good they are, soooo much better than the rest of us.

I'm so thankful you had the perfect piece available for me to link! I do suspect a subset of these people, stuck as they seem in righteously elevating victimhood, will use the next four years to champion that narrative with themselves in the starring role. But maybe some will discover, as democracy does not end and many things improve, that their catastrophizing was just that—a cognitive distortion which does not align with reality. Perhaps some will wonder what else they got wrong... Time will tell. I'll try not to get my hopes up.

Life will be so amazing! People will just have to get through the pain of knowing they’ve been deceived for decades. We will be celebrating our new-found lives together, and the collective joy we feel from each other will help us to heal.

This Uniparty is the best thing to happen in politics in a very long time. The merging of Dems into a coalition alongside Republicans to actually ‘govern’ for the People, to make the USA that Gold Standard in the world as well as to tackle extensive government corruption and overreach, is wonderful! It is a massive electoral stake in the ground in the history of this nation. And just in time for our 250th Birthday!

That there are unhappy, miserable citizens, who voted for the status quo upon the advice of MSM headlines, who can ONLY see and opine about the Orange Man is a loss for the entire country, sustaining the division they so wish to conjoin (if only WE would agree with THEM!).

Liberal Tears will flood the country UNTIL gas and food prices come down. UNTIL the newly anointed DOGE dynamic duo thins out the deadweight in DC. UNTIL our faith in elected officials and elections are restored. UNTIL the southern border is locked down. UNTIL governmental health agencies refocus on keeping us healthy. Then, their tears will dry up. Maybe.

SOUND THE KLAXON: There is work to be done. We may only get this one shot!

I am so excited for DOGE and Bobby in HHS. Pray they succeed in their missions because I think you're right that we have but one true shot at this. I'm trying not to get ahead of myself in my optimism.

Methinks this " gentle man" needs to be given a copy of White Guilt by Shelby Steele. Also I would love to hear his opinion of Daniel Penny and the strap hangers he protected. NYC is on trial as much as Penny and we are fixin to discover if it has crossed the proverbial Rubicon and wants identity politics above all else. If so be very careful when you travel to the big blue apple cause you will be on your own.

Another great read Leah! The lack of self awareness this guy and others like him willingly put on public display is astounding! And you are spot on about the rest of the world. So many people here in Australia excited by the prospect of a freedom, enterprise, commonsense revival in America. It will give permission to other leaders to stop just “managing the decline” and change the systems we know aren’t working - health and big pharma a glaring case in point. Exciting times for the world!

Excellent rebuttal, Leah! I am always wary of anything that resembles a cult of personality, so I also find the "Trump is our savior" rhetoric a little distasteful. You've done a great job of explaining how this election was, for most voters, not an endorsement of Trump's personality, style, or even policies, but rather an indictment of the transgressive ideology being championed by seemingly every major institution of our society.

But why did primary voters pick Trump if it wasn’t about personality, style, or policies? I mean, if your goal was to use the power of the government to fight transgressive ideologies of the left in major institutions, shouldn’t DeSantis have won in a landslide because he has shown that he can deliver the goods? Or why not pick Cruz in 2016 for the similar reasons (that he was far more likely to be able to bend the government to his will than Trump). This is why it seems to me that for a lot of people who voted for Trump, it is about Trump himself and not about anything else. Not the people who switched from Trump to Biden, or Biden to Trump, but for the hardcore supporters who carried him to victory in the primaries where the options weren’t between Trump and Democrats, but between Trump and other Republicans who tried to paint themselves as Trumpier than Trump policy wise and have shown themselves to just be much more disciplined and politically efficacious.

This reminds me of a post by my cousin, where she goes on about Christians and how they are clearly misguided if they voted for Trump because the Presidency should be about character, among other things. Oh, right! Because so many Democrats have such wonderful character. Let’s see, does Bill Clinton ring a bell? Or maybe John Edwards? Or even JFK? These men who ALL cheated on their wives are an excellent example of character.

Oy. That sounds awful. If sharing this can help, then I’m grateful to be part of bridging your divides. Not to my knowledge. Somebody with a TikTok account would have to share the link to him either as a comment on the video or by direct message (does TikTok have DMs?) and even if that happened, who knows if he’d be willing to read it (I’d be pleasantly shocked if he did) and who knows if I’d ever learn that he did. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
